In the Aitana mountains near the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Blanca lies Sella. Sella is a village with only 600 inhabitants. Time seems to stand still in this village on the hill. However, Sella 5 restaurants / bars, has two supermarkets and two bakeries. Despite its proximity to busy coastal areas (only 20 kms from Benidorm and 40 km from Alicante), Sella remains fairly quiet. The scenery here is spectacular.

Depending on the budget you can choose more budget ore luxury accommodation. Most rooms overlook the roofs of the village the mountains and the sea in the distance. Enjoy the spectacular views of one of the terraces or the poolside.

A homely atmosphere is priority number one in Villa Pico.

A day in Villa Pico

The day begins with a breakfast buffet on the terrace. We take the time to inform our guests and help to plan the day.

There is sufficient information material about excursions in the area, but of course you can also stay in and around Villa Pico. During the hot summer months, visitors appreciate the combination of rest, the view, the typical Spanish atmosphere of the village, dining in one of the local restaurants, a drink at the Plaza Mayor, the pool (in Villa Pico and Sella), the proximity to the beaches and the variety of possible trips in the area.

From September to late May you can combine rest and relaxation with active tourism.

There are a large amount of walks for new as well as experienced walkers available on paper as well as plenty of GPS routes. We will be happy to share our personal experiences with you.

There are more than 300 (mountain) climbing routes in the valley, which makes Sella to the main climbing area of the Costa Blanca. Since the Vuelta (Tour of Spain) passed through the village more and more cyclists and mountain bikers find their way to the village.

Many budget airlines (Ryanair, Transavia, Jetair, Iberia, Vueling, etc. ..) offer cheap flights to Alicante and Valencia which makes Sella to a budget holiday destination (even a long weekend is an option!).
